NON-INVASIVE CARBOXY THERAPY EXPLAINED

Traditional carboxy treatment involves using injections to administer carbon-dioxide (CO2) just beneath the skin’s surface. It addresses issues such as cellulite, premature skin aging, acne, dark circles beneath the eyes, etc. A major drawback of this form of carboxy is the need for injections.

Aware of the fact that many people have avoided carboxy treatments because of a dislike of needles, we set out to create an alternative way to administer CO2 in an effective, targeted, and localized way. Our gel contains a carefully formulated blend of active ingredients which can be applied to the face or body.

History of Carboxy Therapy

1920s

Origins from ‘spa medicine’

1930s

Developed in France during the 1930s, it was found that bathing in pools of CO2-rich water helped to speed up wound healing.

Injectable Carboxy Therapy

1950s

The therapeutic and medical use of carbon dioxide is used by the medical community in Europe.

1955s

In South America and Europe, CarboxyTherapy has increased in popularity in the field of aesthetics, and particularly for lipolysis (break down the fats) and dermal rejuvenation treatments.

The Birth of Non-Injectable Carboxy Therapy (JB Gel+JB Mask)

With the years of successful studies and results in Europe, Japan has taken the treatment’s principle a step further in enabling the same powerful results, but without the use of injections. After many years of trials with different formulations, they have effectively created a solution to provide the same powerful results without the use of needles.

2008s

Daejong Medical submitted Patent No: 10-1037595:
– Method for absorbing Carbon Dioxide into skin Mucous Membrance.
– Active Ingredient (CO2) generation at point of application
This breakthrough method of active ingredient generation is also utilise in the Jofiel Beauty Freeze Dried EGF (2017) and Jofiel Beauty Vitamin C with 24K Gold.

2011s

Daejong Medical awarded and owns the non-invasive CarboxyTherapy Patent No: 10-1037595

WHY WE AGE?

Lack of Oxygen

• The older we get, the weaker become the subcutaneous capillaries that provide oxygen to the cells.
• At 30 years, the level of oxygen decreases by 25%
• At 40 years, the level of oxygen decreases by 50%
• In addition, with the environmental pollution, the amount of oxygen intake decreases further.
• Result in premature ageing

Reduced ability for Cell Regeneration

• Combined with the forces of gravity, stress, unhealthy lifestyle reduce the ability of cells to regenerate,
• Leads to destruction of collagen fibres and loss of elasticity
• Formation of localised fat deposits and cellulite.

How does JOFIEL BEAUTY NON-INVASIVE CARBOXY THERAPY works?
Medical studies have long shown carbon dioxide stimulates circulation. Carbon dioxide, the invisible, odourless gas that is part of the air we breathe, is activated on the surface of the skin using our Patented therapy

HOW OUR PATENTED GEL AND MASK WORKS ON SKIN

1.Patented Gel + Patented Mask produces CO2 at point of application
– Ensuring best “freshness”
– 20-30% more effective than existing CO2 Pack
– More Uniform and longer Co2 generation at application site

2. Generates activating bubbles that contain a proprietary formula which stimulates skin.

3. CO2 effects
– Breakdown fat cells
– Build Collagen

4. O2 effects
– Dilate capillaries & triggers the red-blood cells to release nourishing oxygen into the skin and tissues (this is a medically proven reaction known as the Bohr Effect), this increases the skin’s ability to assimilate necessary nutrients and eliminate destructive toxins.
– The active ingredients will improve skin elasticity and strengthen pores, expression lines will be softened and the skin will feel firmer and look more radiant as skin tone is balanced
– Skin is at its best condition to apply complementing products (Vitamin C with 24K Gold & Freeze Dried EGF) or other beauty treatments

When CO2 is activated, this immediately stimulates greater and better blood flow to the area. This causes the erythrocytes to release O2 and pick up CO2 so that the tissue ends up being more oxygenated and the CO2 is eliminated through the lungs. This process is called the Bohr Effect.

BOHR EFFECT ON SKIN

The Bohr effect is a physiological phenomenon first described in 1904 by the Danish physiologist Christian Bohr: haemoglobin’s oxygen binding affinity is inversely related both to acidity and to the concentration of carbon dioxide. Since carbon dioxide reacts with water to form carbonic acid, an increase in CO2 results in a decrease in blood pH, leading to haemoglobin proteins releasing their load of oxygen. Conversely, a decrease in carbon dioxide provokes an increase in pH, resulting in haemoglobin picking up more oxygen.

How JOFIEL BEAUTY NON-INVASIVE CARBOXY THERAPY feels on skin?

Experience a tingling/ biting sensation when bubbles are formed, this is due to the enhanced blood circulation (Bohr effect). The sensation will subside after the mask is fully activated, it usually do not last more than a minute.

Is JOFIEL BEAUTY NON-INVASIVE CARBOXY THERAPY safe?

Carbon dioxide is a natural by-product of the body and is not toxic even in elevated doses unless a pre-existing medical condition exists.
Invasive Carboxy Therapies have been performed safely and effectively on many patients by aestheticians and dermatologists widely. Many researches and reports are done to prove its efficacy & safety.
